Highlights from the 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show
Staying on the cutting edge of industry innovation is extremely important to us at Clear Construction. Attending industry tradeshow events is an effective way to educate ourselves on current design and construction trends in order to confidently recommend the latest and greatest products to our clients. Last month, our leaders attended the Las Vegas 2023 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, put on by the National Kitchen and Bath Association during Design & Construction Week. The attendance of this year’s show marked the highest attendance in the history of DCW, the largest annual gathering of residential construction and design industry professionals.
Innovative Trends and Products
The show presented a variety of innovative products, from lighting solutions for cabinetry to unique bath concepts. Among the most impressive products were the hidden door system by Salice and the PITT integrated stove burners and knobs. Salice’s unique, patented door system allows for covering a large full-height cabinet space with bi-folding doors that seamlessly fold and disappear when the cabinet opens. PITT’s custom stove concept incorporates directly into stone countertops, creating an ultra-modern and sleek kitchen look.
Another interesting product was an illuminated drawer system by Hettich that incorporates glass sides and fronts for internal drawers and integrated drawer lighting. We’ve been looking for a solution in these areas, so we’re excited to implement this new product into our upcoming projects. We also saw a range of new home appliances and fixtures, such as customizable refrigerators, an array of smart kitchen and bath faucets, and an eco-friendly and cost-efficient dishwasher that only requires a liter of water per wash and almost no energy to operate. These products and trends represent the latest in home design, and having these valuable insights into the industry offerings has given us fresh ideas and recommendations for upcoming builds.
Implementing What We Learned
Our main takeaway is that while many manufacturers are making similar products, there can be vast differences in the quality of each product. Each manufacturer will have specific strengths and weaknesses, and it’s our job to curate our options in order to provide the best product and service to clients based on our latest industry knowledge and experience.
Attending the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show was an excellent investment for Clear Construction and will have a positive impact on our future work. We’re already experimenting with the new products and concepts we learned while in Las Vegas, and we’re excited to see how they’ll add value to our work.
