Four Tips for Your Kitchen Remodel

The kitchen is the heart of the home — a place where functionality, organization, and style set the tone for connection. Cooking and conversation go hand-in-hand as meals and memories are made. Clear Construction produces designs that address technical challenges while reflecting our commitment to premium artistry. We spoke with our Cabinetry Design Manager, Noah Peresman, about his top tips for your kitchen remodel. Here’s what he had to say:

Set The Scene

It’s important to study your space and understand how your kitchen integrates with the rest of the home as well as its unique functions. Do you like to entertain? Is it your family's hub? Are you an experienced chef with lots of cooking tools? Developing a vision of how you intend to use the space will help you determine the essential features for your remodel.

Choose Your Luxury Amenities

Regardless of your kitchen's size or style, a few features can optimize your space for practicality and enjoyment. Noah notes that every remodeled kitchen should have an integrated recycle center, dimmable under-cabinet LED lighting, and soft-close hardware. Function is a priority in the kitchen, but the room should also be comfortable and beautiful — a place you and your family can enjoy together.

Create a Focal Point

“I like to have one focal point that makes the kitchen stand out,” says Noah. “We recently built a wet bar with a retractable door. When you open the cabinet, the door slides out of sight, leaving a well-lit white oak interior — it transforms the space from a kitchen to an entertainment room.”

Consider Your Storage and Countertops

Having sufficient storage and counter space is essential for a sleek, practical kitchen, explains Noah. Depending on the countertop selection, it’s relatively straightforward to make the surfaces extra deep for the same amount of money — just pull the base cabinets off the wall. A 26’’ deep counter is considerably more useful and looks gorgeous too.

Bringing Your Vision to Life

Every client has unique goals for how their kitchen will operate and feel, and our role is to help clarify those needs and create a custom space through an exceptional design-build process. Kitchens set the stage for connection, and we are proud to have helped families achieve thoughtful designs that complement their lifestyles.
